old vintage photos

Really old vintage photos from the late 1800s are so beautiful and creepy at the same time. Here are some rather peculiar and lovely Victorian photographs I wanted to share with you. Guess which of these I find the creepiest? If you guessed the thin girl in the last two photo, you're right! She looks downright scary!

Vintage eyeglasses frames

I think these kinds of eyeglasses are very popular. It also can one of the fashion icons.Vintage eyeglasses frames refer to those frames that first became popular during the 50s, 60s and 70s, some of which remaining popular to this very day and others going through countless ups and downs and somehow establishing strong footholds once again in the 21st century, either by finding new generation spokesman or by absorbing new elements.

There is a tendency for the finest artists and designers in the fashion circle to recycle, so to speak, old ideas and thoughts, adding to them a little renovation and revolutionizing people’s understanding of eyeglasses all together along the way. Whether you like it or not, it’s a undeniable fact that fashion repeats itself, whether in clothing, shoes or in eyeglasses and oftentimes just as people in the loop like to put it, everything old becomes new again.

Before buying vintage eyeglass, you need to have some notion of the time era when the vintage eyeglasses were made and popularized. For most of the vintage eyeglass buyers, they mostly get some idea from movies, pictures and from the ac about the vintage eye glasses. These days, we can never forget about the internet where virtually we can find everything we need.

After determining the look and era of the vintage eyeglass, the next step may turn to where to buy these antiques.  Of cause, the web stores are always the most convenient destinations for hunting vintage eyeglasses I think.

How about this eyeglasses?

Parasol

There are many accessories that I want to mention:Hair Combs, Hats and Jewelry.  But, there is one accessory that I think epitomizes class and elegance in the 19th and early 20th century.  It’s elegant, stately and on a bright, sunny day conveniently functional.  What is this vintage accessory that I find so intriguing? It is none other that the Parasol.

A vintage version of our modern Umbrella.  I know, it doesn’t sound very exciting, but I am telling you, it breathes sophistication and on a day when you desperately want to keep your skin from crisping, you’ll be happy that you brought it along.

Generally speaking, it is apparent that if the Parasol ever did make a comeback I envision it would appear within the English upperclass.  I say this only because the English seem to be the only culture which still abides by such things as afternoon tea and whose upper crust still holds fast to the proprieties of over a century ago.  Gloves are still required at social outings and hats still provide an outwardly account of your success.

I imagine that carrying a Parasol to match with your camel colored  dress suit with crisp cotton gloves would be in line with certain expectations. It’s sort of glamorous, really, when you think about it.  To have the ability to get all gussied up and go out in public with century old fashions and still be in line with everyday fashion.  How terribly exciting!

 19th Centuries Parasol:

Coco Chanel

I figured this was very appropriate for famous fashion icons. How about Coco Chanel? I think every women and lady familiar with this band because it is one of the luxury band in fashion. How much you guys know about Coco Chanel? I think the quote will be a bit more powerful, what do you think?
Any of you have fashion icon quotes that you love??

'Her first millinery shop, opened in 1912, to the 1920s, Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel rose to become one of the premier fashion designers in Paris, France. Replacing the corset with comfort and casual elegance, her fashion themes included simple suits and dresses, women’s trousers, costume jewelry, perfume and textiles.'

'She adopted the name Coco during a brief career as a cafe and concert singer 1905-1908. First a mistress of a wealthy military officer then of an English industrialist, Coco Chanel drew on the resources of these patrons in setting up a millinery shop in Paris in 1910, expanding to Deauville and Biarritz. The two men also helped her find customers among women of society, and her simple hats became popular.'

90's

Born in the 1990′s?
I love looking back at my baby pictures. Looking at the ridiculous clothes my parents dressed me in makes me laugh. “Why did I dress like that?” But as we know now…. that vintage fashion will always be “IN.” My mother always tells me, “I wish I saved my clothes for you!” Here’s a fashion flashback to the 90′s.

Do you like vintage style fashion?

I think her icon  can show nostalgic sensibilities, and it seems that Marilyn Monroe images are everywhere even nowadays. The legend, the myth, the mystique of Marilyn captivates most of people, and I find myself wanting to know more about the woman behind the radiant smile.

Vintage Piano

An vintage piano is not just an old piano. An vintage piano must have a real value. A Wurlitzer piano made in the early 1900's is just an old piano and a Steinway piano from the same period would be considered vintage.

What is the difference? The simple answer is quality and value. The antique piano is precious above all because the potential for beauty of sound and appearance, and secondly because of the Steinway name.

However, a straight leg from the 1940 Steinway piano is also considered a classic, though less valuable, only for the potential beauty of sound and the simple elegance of the case.

Last year, I went to the piano museum, many vintage piano there!

This is one of my favorite one here.
